London Re GmbH is a specialist Lloyd’s Insurance Broker, based in Duesseldorf and London. London Re exists to provide its Clients and Broker Partners with complex and bespoke insurance solutions, through unrivalled access to Underwriters in Lloyd’s of London and other specialist London insurers.
We share the same values as our founding partners, MRH Trowe & James Hallam Ltd. Both are leading, privately owned, insurance brokers, each with a wealth of experience in Insurance and Risk Management. It’s the heritage behind these two firms that gives London Re its ability to trade across borders to the benefit of our clients. Our clients expect us to access all available capacity and our reach is such that we can deliver capacity and solutions that meet today’s needs.
Our broking expertise is such that we can deliver a range of solutions many of which are not available in domestic markets. We believe in quality relationships with our clients and broker partners that allow a seamless service, backed by world class security. We will always put your needs first.
As a Lloyd’s Broker, we have privileged access to one of the most established and prestigious insurance markets in the world. Where risks are particularly complex, or require high levels of protection, Lloyd’s of London can often offer the solution. Using our vast experience and network of connections, we work directly with Underwriters employed by Lloyd’s Syndicates to create bespoke solutions.
Where volumes exist schemes and facilities are put in place that retain efficiency whilst still meeting the needs of individual policyholders. This, coupled with their A+ financial strength means that our clients and Broker Partners access cover and a claims service they can rely on.Our service
Where many comparable National & International Brokers have to balance the needs of their clients with the expectations of their shareholders and investors, being privately owned enables us to always look to the future and put our Clients and Broker Partners at the forefront of everything we do.– Maximilian Trowe, Joint Managing Director
In an uncertain world our clients need advisors they can rely on. Our wide experience and creativity to arrange complex insurance programms, coupled with a desire to support clients through these difficult times means we can meet and surpass these expectations.– Paul Anscombe, Joint Managing Director
As the global risk landscape continues to change, so too does the appetite and capacity of many main-stream Insurers. The result is often a reduction in competition leading to an increase in the cost and reduction in the level of policy cover, leaving policyholders with higher premiums for less protection, or having to use Insurers who lack equivalent financial strength.
This is where London Re can help, by providing competitive premium terms for the most optimum levels of insurance cover. This, together with Lloyd’s current A+ financial rating, gives our clients the confidence they need to plan for the future.
The key objective within London Re is to establish and develop close relationships with our clients and thus foster an in-depth understanding of their business objectives and philosophies. In this way, we ensure that our service is delivered efficiently and to the highest standard.
Our core service includes:
Through this approach, we are able to ensure that our clients have a full understanding of their insurance cover and ultimately obtain the very best cover available, at the most competitive price.
Fast-track quote service
Where time is of the essence, we are able to respond quickly. We have electronic access to many Underwriters, but for more complex ‘face-to-face’ negotiations, our London office is just minutes from the Lloyd’s market in London, enabling us to directly approach Underwriters and build complex insurance programmes sometimes within very tight time-frames.
We are widely respected for our focused approach and the ability to meet the most exacting deadlines.
We cater for the general insurance needs of a broad range of clients, from the private individual, right up to the multi-national corporation. As well as providing our core solutions for complex Property, Liability, Marine and Contingency risks, we have a growing number of specialist areas where we provide advice, products and services too:

Claims are often described as the ‘shop window’ of the insurance industry, with Insurers and Brokers alike being measured by the speed and efficiency at which these matters are dealt with.
We recognise this to be an extremely important part of a Broker’s role and therefore offer a very comprehensive claims service, which includes :
